    If you change scanning settings on pda, after restarting the pda, you won’t see those changes


     Connect to your PDA using SOTI and check to see if following file exists:


    this file contains all default Honeywell settings for scanning. 

    Deleting this file (DeviceCollection.xml) will fix your problem.


    You are unable to take photos when using the PDA as there is no Camera icon available on the Modify or Receive screen.


    1. You need to activate the fields Damages in admin for 'customize field names' for your job profile in the WTS Web Application.

    2. Now you should be able to see the button capture image.

    Getting a handheld on the Network

    Most of the time WTS requires little or no IT with most of our customers. However, sometimes a company will require IT involvement when installing new hardware on their Network.

    MAC Addresses on each port of the 4 port cradle:

    Some Networks filter by MAC addresses for identifying a device and the IT may need to know the MAC address to allow the device on their Network.

    Port 80 and Port 443 need to be accessible for the handhelds in order for WTS to have access to them.

    IT should allow access to *wts.neopost.com (all sub-domains for both http and https).

    Active Sync Connection Settings

    • Check "Allow USB Connections". 
    • Check "Allow connections to once of the following and select DMA".
    • Set This Computer is connected to: the Internet.
    • If you are having Java issues, try the following settings to see if your issues are solved.

    General Tab

    1. Go to Settings. 
    2. Check "Keep temporary files on my computer" and change the Disk Space to 200MB.

    Security Tab

    1. Check "Enable Java content in the browser. 
    2. Add the site to the exception list.

    WTS Customers add: https://wts.neopost.com & http://wts.neopost.com

    WTS-P Customers add: http://ipaddress (For main WTS-P Computer)

    Advanced Tab

    1. Scroll Down to the bottom and check "Place Java icon in system tray". This setup will show customers that Java started in WTS/ WTS-P to assure it is working.

    Applying Settings

    1. After all settings are done select "Apply" and then "OK". 
    2. Close browser and reopen.
